<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system which has utilized a fuel cell using fuel liquid in which high concentration fuel liquid is diluted by a diluting liquid, in which fuel can be saved according to an operating state in a load side device while suppressing reduction in fuel cell performance or damage, and in which the fuel cell output can be maintained at a fixed voltage or more even at saving time of the fuel. <P>SOLUTION: In a low load state due to normal operation stop of the load side device LD, the fuel cell 1 is made to perform idling operation. At the time of the idling operation, a power generation mode is made to be an intermittent mode or a low voltage power generation mode, and operations of pumps MP1, MP2 for supply of the fuel liquid are controlled so as to maintain the fuel cell output at the fixed voltage (voltage Vs or voltage which is slightly lower than that) or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
