PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform easy and high accuracy positioning, with respect to other light scanning optical equipment, for reflection mirrors (deflection mirrors) that reflect scanning light for writing an electrostatic latent image so as to guide it to an image carrier. SOLUTION: The optical apparatus, that scans light for writing electrostatic latent images to a photoreceptor drum, is equipped with an optical scanning unit X incorporated in an integrally molded housing 30. On the light reflection surface near one end of the deflection mirrors 3BK1, 3M1, 3Y1, 3C1 that reflect on the surface the light to be scanned to guide it to the photoreceptor drum, there are integrally molded, as a part of the housing 30 of the optical scanning unit X, mirror holders (14Y, etc.) U-shaped in cross section and formed with two-point contact parts (14Ya, etc.) that come into contact at two places, wherein the deflection mirrors (3Y1, etc.) are energized to the contact parts in the structure of the apparatus.
