PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the tension rigidity of a belt and also increase the bending and fatigue resistance of the belt by adjusting the bending property of the belt on the pitch line outer peripheral side to prevent a core from being locally bent. SOLUTION: This timing belt 1 comprises a ring-shaped belt body 3, a plurality of tooth parts 2 formed in the belt body 3 at prescribed intervals along the inner peripheral surface, the core 6 buried in the belt body 3 along the peripheral direction, and an intermediate canvas 7 installed on the belt body 3 on the outer peripheral side of the core 6.
