摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the overheating of a reforming catalyst in a fuel reforming device to generate reformed gas containing hydrogen by reforming hydrocarbon fuel. SOLUTION: The fuel reforming device 30 producing the reformed gas containing hydrogen and carbon monoxide by reforming hydrocarbon fuel is provided with the reforming catalyst to generate reformed gas by receiving the supply of the air fuel mixture containing the hydrocarbon and oxygen, or the reforming catalyst 30a and the reforming catalyst 30b divided into the air fuel mixture direction and a cooling means 52 installed between two reforming catalysts 30a, 30b mutually adjoining. Since the reforming catalyst 30a, 30b are divided, and partial oxidation reaction is carried out so that calorific value can be reduced in each reforming catalyst 30a, 30b. Since the air fuel mixture whose temperature is increased due to the upstream side reforming catalyst 30a is cooled by a cooling means 52, and fed into the downstream side reforming catalyst 30b, the maximum attainable temperature of the air fuel mixture can be reduced.
