PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device capable of developing a conventional method and device, capable of being used to multiple purposes further and capable of making it effective at the time of applying the method to the automation of a totally tempering process. SOLUTION: In a method for controlling a treatment process by an information expressing a load of the glass panel at the time of safely manufacturing which includes a process for conveying a flat glass panel through a heating and annealing furnace (2) and a cooling section (22) and a process for reading an information expressing the load of the glass panel used for controlling the treatment process before the treatment process, the coating of the glass panel is automatically detected and/or the thickness of the glass panel is detected in order to compensate the information expressing the load, and the information about the coating and/or the thickness of the glass panel are used for automatically adjusting a cooling period and a blasting pressure of a cooling air at a cooling process.
