PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber machine, capable of achieving a favorable leading success ratio, and shortening yarn splicing time. SOLUTION: This fiber machine is provided with a yarn processing part 2 provided with a take-up part 12 for yarn 10, and a yarn splicing part (yarn splicing carriage) 3 to conduct yarn splicing work to the yarn processing part 2. The yarn splicing part 3 is provided with a yarn splicing device 43 to conduct the yarn splicing work, a suction mouth 46 to approach the surface of a take-up package 45 of the take-up part 12 to suck a yarn end, and guide the yarn 10 to the splicing device 43, and a reverse roller 55 to rotate the take-up package 45 in an unreeling direction. On a yarn passage 50 for yarn sucked from the suction mouth 46, a suction detection sensor 54 is provided. At the time of leading the yarn, the reverse roller 55 is rotated at relatively low speed initially, but as the yarn 10 is detected by the suction detection sensor 54, it is controlled to increase speed.
