PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sleeping mat which enables the person to sleep with his or her body in direct contact with the mat as well as with a mat body placed on a bottom mattress and to reach a deep sleep as a pillow is placed at a stable position to keep the upper body level to the head. SOLUTION: The sleeping mat is provided with a flat bottom surface 3. A backrest section 3 is formed upwards and in a tilted state from one end of a rectangular body made of synthetic resin material having appropriate elasticity and flexibility. A placing section 6 is formed where a pillow can be stably placed along the direction extended from the backrest section 3 at a position lower than the top of the tilted section 4 at the highest position of the backrest section 3. The entire pillow placing section 6 is horizontal or tilted downwards towards the inner side from the forefront, or is formed in a curved surface 6a for containing the pillow.
