<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multicast address managing apparatus capable of setting the optimum multicast address corresponding to the characteristic of a network interface, even if the network interface having a simple multicast packet filter is used in constructing a system for performing multicast transmission, and to provide a multicast address managing system and a multicast address managing method. <P>SOLUTION: A multicast address managing section 43 uses the same calculation algorithm as that of the muldicast packet filter of the network interface 21 of a multicast receiving terminal 20, to assign the multicast address so that filter values corresponding to the multicast address to be assigned form an order. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
