PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device free from the possibility of increase of resistance value and wire disconnection by eliminating differences of levels when electrically connecting electrode take-out wires to respective electrode layers. SOLUTION: The light-emitting device is formed by: forming first and second embedding channel layers 3a, 3b on a semiconductor substrate 1; forming a light-emitting lamination layer formed by successively laminating a first electrode layer 7a, an organic EL light-emitting layer 8a and a transparent second electrode layer 9a on the semiconductor substrate; electrically connecting the first embedded channel layer to the first electrode layer and the second embedded channel layer to the second electrode layer; airtightly sealing the edge part of the semiconductor substrate by arranging a moisture-impermeable protection plate 11 so as to cover the light-emitting layer; connecting second connection terminals 6a, 6c to the first and second embedded channel layers 3a, 3b respectively at the outside of the protection plate; and forming the light-emitting device so as to supply electric energy to the first and second electrode layers 7a, 9a from outside through the first and second connection terminals and the first and second embedded channel layers.
