PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and inexpensive DC vacuum interrupting device capable of stably interrupting a DC large current, completely disconnecting a circuit after the interruption, and, elongating a contact life of a vacuum valve. SOLUTION: A capacitor 7 is provided in parallel with a supersaturated reactor 6 for restraining an abrupt rise of a voltage of a vacuum valve 4 immediately after current interruption. By this, by passing a current flowing in the supersaturated reactor 6 immediately after the current interruption into the parallel capacitor 7 to have the the capacitor 7 gradually discharged, an interpolar voltage of the vacuum valve 4 can be prevented from rising abruptly, a large current is stably interrupted without causing the re-arc of the valve 4, and the circuit can be completely disconnected by the valve 4 after the interruption. Further, a load of the capacitor 7 is discharged through the supersaturated reactor 6 after the interruption, so that there is an effect of preventing the contact rougheness of the valve to elongate a life of the same, since a capacitor discharge current does not flow at the re-input of the vacuum valve.
