PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information display system of a virtual image display type, with which a user can satisfactorily view image information. SOLUTION: As a display device 4 for the information display system of the virtual image display type, a housing 2 has: an image display section 6 for displaying image information; and a semi-transmission type optical element 7 for reflecting light emitted by the image display section 6. By connecting a joint member 11 to the housing 2 via a connecting pin, the joint member 11 is made swingable around the shaft part 12a (first swing axis) of the connecting pin (i.e., around an axial line almost perpendicular to the paper surface in FIG. 1) relative to the housing 2. By connecting the image display section 6 to the joint member 11 via a connecting pin, the image display section 6 is made swingable around an axial line (i.e., around the shaft part 12'a of the connecting pin, which is a second swing axis) parallel to the first swing axis.
