PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a component cost of an exchange unit of a fixing device and to insure that an exchange work can be readily and rapidly carried out. SOLUTION: The fixing device has a heating roller unit equipped with a heating object, a revolving roller containing the heating object, and a roller holding member rotatably supporting the revolving roller, and an opening/closing member provided openably and closably with respect to the heating roller, wherein the outer side face of the roller holding member is provided with a groove in a direction orthogonal to the axial direction of the revolving roller, and the opening/closing member is provided with a regulating member fitting into the groove when the opening/closing member is closed and regulating the position in the axial direction of the heating roller unit.
