摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve focal length accuracy in a set zoom stage of the photographic optical system that is not by assembling accuracy or processing accuracy. SOLUTION: The photographing optical system 10 includes a variable power lens group 11, focusing lens group 12, a first lens position-adjusting mechanism 14<SB>a</SB>, a second lens position-adjusting mechanism 14<SB>b</SB>, and a lens information memory 13. The lens information memory 13 stores first position information, regarding the position in designing the variable power lens group 11 for matching with the focal length in the zoom stage to be set and second position information, regarding the deviation between the actual position and the position in designing. A CPU 30 drives a first stepping motor 31a, based on the first position information and the second position information according to the inputted zoom step. The lens position adjusting mechanism 14<SB>a</SB>transmits the driving force for driving the variable power lens group 11 from the first stepping motor 31a to the variable power lens group 11.
