PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulley unit for transmitting the drive force of an automobile engine capable of preventing rusting from occurring on the surface of a pulley and capable of maintaining the rotating performance of the pulley. SOLUTION: In this pulley unit for transmitting the drive force of the automobile engine, the pulley of the pulley unit is formed by press-molding a cold rolled steel sheet, and a chemical conversion coated layer comprising a metallic zinc layer and a chromic oxide is formed on the surface of the pulley.
