PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powdery material for preventing acarids, improved with the removal ratio of the acarids and the powdery material itself, and a method for preventing the acarids by using the powdery material for preventing the acarids. SOLUTION: This powdery material for preventing the acarids obtained by loading an acaricide on a carrier is characterized by containing particles having <63μm, 63-355μm and >355μm particle diameters, and having a particle size distribution of≤15 wt.% particles having <63μm particle diameter,≥80 wt.% particles having 63-355μm particle diameter and≤5 wt.% particles having >355μm particle diameter.
