PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for efficiently and surely separating a plate material of the uppermost layer upward one by one from a plurality of plate materials horizontally loaded in a layer shape. SOLUTION: A body 101 of the plate material separating device 100 is rotatably supported by and fixed to a back face plate 111 while being connected to the back face plate 111 by using a columnar fulcrum shaft K. A spring 106 is expandably held between the back face plate 111 and the body 101, and this spring 106 governs the rotational operation. Two contact members 102 constituted by respectively superposing respective five saw blades, are fixed to respective translation bodies 103. A rail 105 being a guide object member is fixed in the vertical direction to these respective translation bodies 103. A piston vibrator 107 drivers a piston head 108 by air, to thereby vibrate the translation bodies 103 having a bottom surface adhered and fixed to a flat top part of this piston head 108 in the vertical direction.
