PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium feeding device for preventing a duplicate feed of a medium, while surely separating the medium, even if the medium is fed in a skewed state, a recording apparatus and a liquid ejecting apparatus having its feeding device. SOLUTION: This device has a medium feeding means 41 for feeding the medium, and a separating means 42 for separating the medium fed by the medium feeding means by abutting. Abutting parts 422a, 722a and 822a opposed to the medium feeding means in the separating means are projectingly formed on the medium feeding means side. Thus, even if the fed medium is put in the skewed state, since the medium abuts on the abutting parts 422a, 722a and 822a, the medium can be allowed to abut on the separating means 42 in a position near from the medium feeding means 41, and the duplicate feed of the medium can be prevented while surely separating the medium.
