PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift lever device miniaturized while having rigidity and strength and capable of being strongly mounted to an instrument panel side. SOLUTION: The shift lever device mounted to a vehicle body at the instrument panel side of an automobile has a case box body 1 comprising shells 11, 12 superposed so as to clamp a shift lever 2 and two-divided to the left and right.
