PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermo-therapeutic appliance capable of effectively utilizing the place of a bed or the like where a semicylindrical cover is installed and applying sole massage or the like to a user in the place. SOLUTION: The thermo-therapeutic appliance for emitting far infrared rays inside nested semicylindrical inner side cover 4 and outer side cover 5 comprises: inner side rails 42a and 42b provided on the lower side along the bottom parts 41a and 41b of the peripheral surface of the inner side cover 4; a hinge 44 connecting the bottom part 41a and the inner side rail 42a; a support base 7 provided on the lower side along the bottom part 451 of the end face 45 of the inner side cover 4; and a gas spring 8 whose one end is pivoted on the outer side face 71 of the support base 7 at a position shifted to the side of the hinge 44 and other end is pivoted near the lower side of the end face 45 at a position shifted to the opposite side, and which is provided at a gentle inclination angle. The gas spring 8 is expanded by the opening operation of the inner side cover 4, the inner side cover 4 is opened to a prescribed angle around the hinge 44 in the state that the outer side cover 5 is piled up, and the open state is maintained.
