<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide simple mechanisms of a brake and a clutch being electrically and mechanically efficiently operable by an electric unit for a wheelchair. <P>SOLUTION: The clutch mechanism controlling the connection and non-connection between an electric motor 10 and driving wheels 8 is so formed that, according to the rotating position of a worm gear 38, a pin 21 abuts on its board face to separate a driving key member 22 from a groove member 26; or the abutment is released, the driving key member 22 is moved by a driving spring 24 to be fitted in the driving groove member 26. The brake mechanisms controlling the connection and non-connection between the electric motor 10 and a brake gear 28 is so formed that, according to the rotating position of a worm gear 38, a pin 36 abuts on its board face to separate a brake key member 30 from a groove member 33; or the abutment is released, the brake key member 30 is moved by a spring 34 to be fitted in the brake groove member 33. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
