摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coloring matter for forming a recording layer of a heat-mode optical recording medium, which is excellent in film forming properties, solubility and heat decomposition properties.

SOLUTION: This coloring matter is expressed by general formula [I] (wherein Ar1and Ar2denote each an aromatic ring group having a substituent which is independent, bulky and apt to cause a steric hindrance).
