PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device for work for performing transfer work of a head sheave part, without causing dangerous work at an elevated spot, without relying on a hoisting machine used for skeleton work. SOLUTION: A constitution has a head frame 41 penetrating through a mast member 11 and liftably supported by a main member 12 of the mast member 11, a sheave for extending ropes 27a and 27b of a counterweight mechanism 60 mounted on this head frame 41 so as not to hinder penetration of the mast member 11, and a pin member 56 lockable on a horizontal member 13 of the mast member 11, and is adopted as the head sheave part 40b arranged in an upper part of the mast member 11. Then, an adding mast member 11a can be added to an end part of the mast member 11 while installing the head sheave part 40b in the mast member 11, and can also be transferred to respective parts of the added mast member from the mast member 11 while installing the head sheave part 40b in the mast member 11.
