PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transplanter which has a pair of right and left press wheels rotating to press both right and left sides of the seedling planting position, which right and left press wheels are inclined upward toward the opposite direction of a rotation axis to go upward to have an opposite interval of the right and left press wheels, which is inclined so as to be increased upward toward the upper part, and which is equipped with a pair of right and left planting bodies for planting seedlings and two units of a pair of press wheels in which one unit corresponds to one pair of planting bodies, wherein the press wheels can be enlarged their diameters or spaces between planting rows can be narrowed by bringing two pairs of press wheels close each other. SOLUTION: A driving gear 97 for driving one of the adjoining press wheels 28 at laterally center side of two pairs of press wheels 28 is shifted to one of upper or lower side relative to the rotation axis X of the press wheel 28, and a driving gear 97 driving the other press wheel 28 is shifted to the other upper or lower side relative to the rotation axis X of the press wheel 28.
