PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a method for providing a protrusion to a button, which is used for a push-button switch for changing the operation of various electric appliances, and to form a button with a protrusion. SOLUTION: By using a press die to the button manufactured with a forming die, the protrusion is provided to the top surface of the button in a subsequent process. The temperature of the press die is set from 130 to 145°C, the press pressure is set to about 3 tons, and the press time is set from 5 to 7 seconds, which is longer than the normal press time. As a result, when two kinds of buttons, that is, a button with a protrusion and a button with no protrusion, are formed, a forming die with a protrusion is not necessary.
