APPARATUS FOR DETECTING LOAD ON SEAT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for detecting a load on a seat capable of achieving a compact apparatus as a whole and easily providing an electric circuit for processing output signals of an element for detection. SOLUTION: A sensor main body 10 is interposed between a leg bracket 2 and a lower rail 3 for detecting a load exerted onto the seat. A plate member 11 of the sensor main body 10 integrally has both a circular strain part 16 having an axis extended in vertical directions and a substrate part 18 extended in radial directions of the strain part 16. An outer-circumferential-side holding member 12 is mounted to the leg bracket 2 to hold an outer-circumferential-side edge part of the strain part 16. An inner-circumferential-side holding member 13 is mounted to the lower rail 3 to hold an inner-circumferential-side edge part of the strain part 16. The strain part 16 is provided with a distortion gauge for outputting a signal according to a load exerted in axial directions of the strain part 16 on the basis of the amount of distortion between its outer circumferential side and its inner circumferential side. The electric circuit electrically connected to the distortion gauge for processing output signals of the distortion gauge is mounted to the substrate part 18. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
