PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a function different from a function for cooling articles, without needing a new installation space when the different function is needed, in an article storage device such as a refrigerator. SOLUTION: In this article storage device as a main body comprising a plurality of detachable storage containers, the storage containers of the main body have the shape and size having compatibility to each other, functional devices for creating various functions for every storage container are respectively mounted on the storage containers, and the functional devices of the storage containers are respectively operated when needed to provide the article storage device with various functions.
