PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing method and system which allows a fast operation of a scanning device such as an SOM (Spatial Optical Modulator) element or the like without speeding up memory data input/output when transposing the data. SOLUTION: One pair of line memories that read image data (laterally K bytes, L bytes in columns) containing K×L byte size data as one frame laterally and store data array of K×N bytes (N≥2) size interchangeably, one pair of memories that interchangeably receive the image data by N bytes from the line memory and store the data array equivalent to one frame, and an output part that addresses the data array stored in the memory by N bytes longitudinally and outputs it outside are provided.
