PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately calculate an amount of unburnt fuel and thus to suitably control a fuel injection amount. SOLUTION: In this system, modeling of the relation between an amount of fuel adhered to an intake port or a wall face of a combustion chamber 25 and an amount of fuel actually burnt in the combustion chamber 25 is performed, and a fuel injection amount to be injected from an injector 19 is calculated based on the model. In this case, the ECU 40 calculates the amount of unburnt fuel out of the fuel flowing in the combustion chamber 25 by using at least cylinder pressure as a parameter, and corrects the fuel injection amount based on the calculated unburnt fuel amount.
