PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding mounting structure and a molding mounting tool capable of easily, efficiently and correctly mounting a roof molding with a simple work while hardly requiring skillfulness. SOLUTION: A fixing part 18 of a mounting clip 15 is fixed to a bottom face of a roof groove 13 by a thermosetting double-sided adhesive tape 16 or the like, and a roof molding 17 is pressed against and mounted on the mounting clip 15. In this situation, a side face in the width direction of a guided part 31 of the roof molding 17 is guided by a guide part 20 (an inclined guide piece 27) of the mounting clip 15, and the roof molding 17 is positioned to the mounting clip 15 in the width direction. An end face in the longitudinal direction of the guided part 31 of the roof molding 17 is regulated by an edge in the longitudinal direction of a projecting piece 24 of the mounting clip 15, the roof molding 17 is positioned to the mounting clip 15 in the longitudinal direction, and a locking piece 25 of the mounting clip 15 is locked to an engagement hole 30 of the roof molding 17.
