PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper permitting sanitary change of the diaper by releasing the connection of waist bands while preventing leakage from the waist region of a wearer. SOLUTION: The disposable diaper 1 has waist band parts 10 and 10. At least one waist band part 10 comprises a liquid-permeable sheet 15 disposed on the skin side of the wearer, an impermeable or water repellant sheet 16 disposed on the distal side from the skin of the wearer, and an absorber 17 including a web with hydrophilic long fiber disposed between the sheets.
