A display device inspecting apparatus is provided with an identification display position specifying means for specifying a position for simultaneously displaying on an inspection image an identification display for identifying a target area on an inspection screen; a target area information extracting means for extracting position information and shape information relating to the target area on the screen by converting the identification display into profile coordinate data; a target area information storing means, which classifies the position information and the shape information based on classification reference previously set and stores them; and an analysis result outputting means for outputting inspection result information constituted by analyzing the contents stored in the target area information storing means.
