摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly adjust the level of the light of each channel which is multiplexed into wavelength multiplex light, in an optical transmission system that remotely controls an optical fiber amplifier for amplifying wavelength multiplexed light. <P>SOLUTION: The wavelength multiplex light that is outputted from a transmitter station 10 is amplified by an EDF47 and then is transmitted to a receiver station 20. Exciting light generated by a light source 71 which is provided in the transmitter station 10 is supplied to the EDF47.
