<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus having a structure in which the positioning accuracy of optical equipment with regard to image processing is hardly affected by the setting surface of main equipment. <P>SOLUTION: An optical unit X1, in which four leg parts 61, 62, 63a, 63b are projected at three positions which form substantially a triangle near the edge sections of a bottom plate 60 forming the lower surface of the image processing apparatus A main body and an optical equipment is incorporated therein, is supported with a vertical positioning plate 6a being a part of the main structural body or with a horizontal positioning plate 6a at the three positions which form a triangle having the same direction of the triangle formed by the leg parts 61 to 63 at the three positions as viewed from below.
