<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery capable of raising a charging termination voltage to 4.3 V or higher without accompanying the deterioration of charge/discharge cycle characteristics and thermal stability, and thereby capable of increasing a charge/discharge capacity. <P>SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery provided with a cathode containing a cathode active material, an anode containing an anode active material, and a nonaqueous electrolyte. A lithium transition metal complex oxide A having LiCoO<SB>2</SB>at least containing both Zr and Mg and a lithium transition metal complex oxide B with a laminated structure and at least containing both Mn and Ni as transition metal are mixed for use as the cathode active material.
