<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which presence of a suspended job is checked when a power switch being operated by a user at the end of work is turned off, a power supply is turned off if there is no suspended job, otherwise a display for urging the user to make a selection whether the suspended job is performed or not is presented on an operation display means and on/off of the power supply is controlled in correspondence with selection results of the user, and to provide a control method of the image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises a first power switch provided between a commercial power supply and the power supply, and a second power switch for delivering information, designating on/off of power being supplied from the power supply to each load, to a control means.
