SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE AND DRIVING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device which allows data writing at times other than in manufacturing the semiconductor device and can prevent falsification by rewriting; and to provide an inexpensive semiconductor device which has a simple structure and comprises a memory, and a method of driving the semiconductor device.

SOLUTION: A semiconductor device comprises an organic memory which has a memory cell array including multiple memory cells, a control circuit which controls the organic memory, and an antenna. The memory cell array has multiple bit lines extending in a first direction and multiple word lines extending in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. Each of the multiple memory cells has an organic compound layer provided between the bit lines and the word lines. Data is written by applying optical or electric action to the organic compound layer.
