PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer layer thickness regulating member capable of making uniform the regulating pressure along the length of the developer layer thickness regulating member without causing an increase in size of a support member nor generating a problem of component precision. SOLUTION: As representative constitution, the developer layer thickness regulating member of the present invention includes an elastic blade 14 which regulates the thickness of a developer carried on a developer carrier 11 and the support member 15 which supports the elastic blade 14, the elastic blade 14 and support member 15 being joined together at a plurality of weld points 18.
