PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide dehumidifying operation control method capable of preventing impairing of reliability caused by pull-down of cooling capacity in transition from a cooling operation to a dehumidifying operation, and improving amenity for dwellers, in an air conditioner having a dehumidifying operation mode for implementing indoor dehumidification. SOLUTION: The difference between a remote controller set temperature Ts and an indoor temperature T is operated in the dehumidifying operation, and the rotational frequency of a compressor, the rotational frequency of an indoor air blower, and a valve opening of an electronic expansion valve are controlled stepwise, thus the impairing of reliability caused by pull-down of the cooling capacity in transition from the cooling operation to the dehumidifying operation can be prevented, and the amenity for dwellers can be improved.
