PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low pass filter capable of obtaining a satisfactory cut-off characteristic and averagely damping an MTF of the high frequency component, and to provide an imaging apparatus having the low pass filter. SOLUTION: In the low pass filter which is used for an imaging apparatus having a solid-state image sensor, a part of luminous flux from the optical incident surface is laterally shifted with respect to the light propagation direction and is emitted, and the optical incident surface includes a region in which the lateral shift amount in the same direction of the luminous flux is different in accordance with the incident position.
