PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute feedforward control even when stepwise changing a shift target input rotation speed in accordance with a shift request of a continuously variable transmission. SOLUTION: This shift control device for the continuously variable transmission performs feedback control and feedforward control when controlling a gear ratio between the input rotation speed and the output rotation speed of the continuously variable transmission. It comprises a change rate calculating means (Step S102 to Step S108) for restricting the change rate of the shift target input rotation speed in predetermined conditions when finding the change rate of the shift target input rotation speed in accordance with the shift request of the continuously variable transmission, a first shift control means (Step S109) for finding a target input rotation speed for the feedforward control in accordance with the change rate of the restricted shift target input rotation speed, and a second shift control means (Step S110) for finding the target input rotation speed for the feedback control in accordance with the target input rotation speed for the feedforward control.
