PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a guide route capable of avoiding an area through which a whirlwind passes, in a car navigation system. SOLUTION: A generation point of the whirlwind, advancing route information thereof and the like are acquired from a meteorological information center by a mobile phone module to store the generation point and an advancing route as avoiding areas, and the avoiding areas are displayed on a map of a display. When the set guide route exists already, the guide route is reset to a route capable of avoiding the avoiding areas when the guide route comes in within the avoiding areas.
