PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curtain-folding apparatus that can uniformly fold the curtain along the correct folding pleats and reduce the number of times for inputting the setting data. SOLUTION: In the curtain-folding apparatus equipped with a folding unit for nipping a curtain with a plurality of folding pieces from one face side and the other face side and folding the nipped curtain into pleats, a plurality of bottom-clamping mechanisms 41 and a plurality of folding-stud mechanism 42 are set to the bottom part of the curtain and a switching means is set for driving these mechanisms. So that the plurality of folding stud mechanism 42 may mutually intersect with the plurality of bottom clamp mechanism, the bottom part of the curtain is introduced from one face of the curtain between a plurality of the bottom-clamping mechanism and simultaneously the switching means are closed. Further, the pleat interval of the curtain is calculated based on the longitudinal shift of the folding stud mechanism 42. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
