PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for tire tread, which has improved antiwear property, low rolling resistance, and wet gripping property. SOLUTION: The rubber composition for tire tread is produced by mixing 2 to 200 parts by mass of carbon black and 2 to 60 parts by mass of basic aluminum sulfate with 100 parts by mass of a diene rubber containing a styrene-butadiene rubber as a major component. The diene rubber is a mixture of 50 to 95 parts by mass of the styrene-butadiene rubber and 50 to 5 parts by mass of a natural rubber. The rubber composition for tire tread is preferably produced by further mixing 10 to 120 parts by mass of silica with the 100 parts by mass of diene rubber. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
