PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a product to be formed at a very high yield without transferring a solvent and without using more amounts of a first material and a low-polarity solvent than the amounts of them initially put into a reactor. SOLUTION: The product (Z) is synthesized by a method comprising the following: the lower end side of a reactor (2) containing a low-polarity solvent (L) having dissolved a first material (X) and a high-polarity solvent (H) for dissolving a second material (Y) is maintained at a phase separation temperature to form a high-polarity solvent layer (A); the upper layer of the high-polarity solvent layer (A) is maintained at a mutually soluble temperature to form a mutually soluble layer (B); and the high-polarity solvent (H) having dissolved the second material (Y) is supplied from the upper end side of the reactor (2), recovered from the lower end side, and circulated/supplied to the upper end side to react the first material (X) with the second material (Y) in the mutually soluble layer (B).
