PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound control unit for a tire capable of exhibiting excellent water-repellent performance, not absorbing water even if exposed to water for a long period of time quickly dried by wiping-out, enhancing a handling property and certainly preventing various problems such as tire vibration and tire inside damage caused by the absorption of water. SOLUTION: The sound control unit for the tire attached to the inside of the tire formed of a rim and the pneumatic tire attached to the rim is provided with a base body comprising a sponge material having a specific gravity of 0.005-0.060 fixed to the inside surface at the rim side or the tire side and extending in a tire circumferential direction. The sponge material comprises water-repellent polyurethane foam obtained by expanding and curing a mixed composition containing polyisocyanate, polyol, a water-repellent agent and a foaming agent.
