PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the generation of noise generated when a shift lever collides to a bracket when the shift lever is moved to a parking position P. SOLUTION: In the shift lever device, the shift lever 3 is provided on a bracket 1 fixed to the vehicle body so as to be turnable through a support shaft and the parking position P or a traveling position are set according to the turning position of the shift lever 3. Insertion holes 18, 19 approximately parallel to the support shaft are formed at the bracket 1 and a first damper 20 on which the abutment surface of the shift lever is abutted when the shift lever 3 occupies the parking position P is inserted to the insertion holes 18, 19. The surface of the first damper 20 opposed to the shift lever 3 is slightly projected toward the shift lever 3 from the bracket 1 and a projection 20a on which the abutment surface of the shift lever 3 is abutted is formed.
