PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a landing gear ascending/descending system for an aircraft improving the reliability of a switch switched when an abnormality of landing gear ascending and descending occurs. SOLUTION: Actuators 1, 2 retracting landing gears in a machine body are controlled by either of active or stand-by controllers 5a, 5b. When a failure is detected in the controller controlling the operation of the actuator, the landing gear ascending/descending system switches the controller to the other one. The landing gear ascending/descending system for the aircraft comprises a power source detecting means 10 detecting on/off-states of the power source of the landing gear ascending/descending system, a controller memorizing means 5 detecting and memorizing the controller for controlling the landing gear ascending/descending system, and a controller controlling means 5 switching a controller switching switch so as to control the landing gear ascending/descending system by the controller different from the controller controlling the landing gear ascending/descending system last time.
