PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die head which is capable of accurately making the gap size of the slit gap constant to the die head longitudinal direction even if a first and second die blocks which are thinly weight-reduced are clamped using the proper torque of a bolt, and to provide a manufacturing and fitting method of a die head. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing and fitting method of the die head 13 having a structure to clamp the first and second die blocks 17, 18 with a plurality of bolts 21, the method comprises obtaining the distribution in the die head longitudinal direction of the amount of deflection at the leading end by structural analysis, conducting the precise processing of the cap wall faces 17a, 18a into a profile so as to counteract the dispersion of the amount of the deflection, clamping the die blocks 17, 18 with the proper torque of the bolt 21 so that the gap size d of the slit gap 19 becomes constant to the die head longitudinal direction when the die blocks are deflected.
