PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal separator which enables an operator to easily change the setting of operation time without pressing load on the operator during the operation and enables the operator to accurately manage the operation time by utilizing a timer function. SOLUTION: The centrifugal separator has: a rotor 13 for separating a sample; a motor 19 for rotationally driving the rotor 13; a operation panel (input unit) 42 for inputting operation conditions such as the number of rotation of the rotor 19 or the operation time; a display ( display means) 43 for displaying the operation conditions; and a CPU (control means) 44 provided with a time counter 45 for counting the operation time, wherein the CPU 44 starts afresh the counting of the operation time by the time counter 45 from the point of time when the operation time is input to the operation panel 42 during the operation.
