PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair seat or a chair cushion on which a user hardly get tired even when sitting thereon for a long period of time in a tilted posture. SOLUTION: The chair seat or the cushion 1 for the chair has a flexible container 3 in which macromolecular gel is sealed therein is placed on a rigid bottom plate 2. A cushion member 4 is arranged at a part equivalent to the center of a seat surface on the bottom plate 2, and the container 3 is formed so as to arrange the macromolecular gel avoiding the cushion member 4. Moreover, a cushion member 5 surrounding the container 3 is arranged on the bottom plate 2. The container 3 is deformed by the streaming motion of the macromolecular gel according to the body weight, and the body weight is received distributed uniformly so that the seat or cushion is excellent in sitting feeling. When the posture is tilted, the macromolecular gel makes streaming motion to be deformed following it, but the macromolecular gel makes the streaming motion slowly inch-by-inch due to its viscosity, thereby obtaining a stable feeling.
